This is another story by Tsutomu Nihei done for Afternoon Quarterly.... it appears to take place in generally the same world as BLAME! but this time the main character is a girl....though I have to admit she does bear quiet a resemblence to Killy. The thing I find the best about this story is the fact that no screentones are used at all. Every page is done entirely in black and white. The contrast lends much to a darker atmosphere. At Kodan Club, the following information is posted about the tankoubon:
PUBLISHED DATE: 2001/10/23
SERIALIZED IN: Afternoon
NO. OF PAGES: 186 pages
PUBLISHED IN: Japan / Italy / Hong Kong / KoreaThe story takes place in the near future. It is a world that is controlled by a high-quality cyber network. Our Heroine, Musubi Susono is a detective of the Children's department at the Police Headquarters. She investigates a serial kidnapping case with her partner Clauthor, but gets attacked by a mysterious group called the "Cult." The Cult has been turning human beings into monsters by using the power of "the Chaos of the Net." As Musubi pursues the case, she comes close to the midst of a big revolution, which may change the whole world. This is written by the same author as "Blame!" and shares the same world and its concepts.
